It's Time to Turn Up for Christ
In today’s day and age, we are bombarded with images of wild entertainers promoting outrageous parties with little to no limits or boundaries. All goes in this world, and sadly this is becoming a main stream acceptance. My question is this: with all the effort put into these activities that will surely hurt your body, mind, and soul where is the effort for activities that are going to grow you to be the best you can be. Maybe it’s time to turn up for God. It’s time to make a personal relationship with God. It can start off small, just five minutes a day to talk to your Heavenly Father. I guarantee you, if you start to put God first in your life, you will see a dramatic difference take place in all your affairs.
When you decide to move towards God and make life changes that are going to better you, don’t do it softly, GO HARD! Give it your all. Seek God with everything you have. Approach Him with an open heart, and humble attitude. Remember, God is a God of love and forgiveness. There is nothing you have ever done that can take his love away from you. Do all that you can do, He will surely do the rest for you. God is not a God to force himself on you. He will not bang on the door of your heart and demand you let him in. He waits patiently on the others side for you to make the decision to let him in. The Bible tells us that If we seek the Kingdom of God first, all things will be handed to us. Whatever your need may be, God will provide for you, but you must seek Him!
So today, make it a point to turn up for God, seek His guidance in your life. If you want to start out with a commitment to read your bible daily, that’s great. If you decide you want to go all in and submerge yourself in the word of God by reading your bible, listening to praise and worship music, going to church, joining in on church activities and groups, go for it. Turn up for God and see how he can turn your life around for the better.
